And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:13-14

This scripture keeps  sounding in my spirit throughout the day. I can’t help but to feel that  we as believers are standing at the same crossroad that Esther stood. If I stop to listen to the news all I see is the thirst with which people seek an answer to the pain we are experiencing. Today I heard that the bible sales  are record high as people turn to its pages seeking  consolation, purpose, meaning.

We feel  threatened collectively.  It is hard to understand  the reason of such hatred and as people try to rationalize it, many alternatives are offered. We, that is those who believe in Jesus Christ, must be able to understand  as Esther did in her time the purpose into which God called us. Romans 8:28 tells us:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom 8:28)

What is that purpose?

If we are disciples then, we should find  our purpose in the master, because it is from Him that we learn, being changed and transformed into His image day by day, from glory to glory. When Jesus was in the  garden, praying as the hour was near it is recorded  in John 17, that  He said  to the Father:

“I have glorified You on the earth, I have finished the work which You have given  Me to do.

And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.” (John 17 4-5)

Jesus finished  the work entrusted to Him. In other words, Jesus finished God’s purpose  in His life. And what was it?:  “I have glorified You on the earth…”

Christ took unto Himself 12 men, lived with them, made them  His family. He gave them the words the Father gave Him to speak so that they would come to understand and believe that Jesus had come from the Father. To the very last moment we find Him in intimate  union with His Father. I have always believed that Jesus  sacrifice is in recorded in that chapter 17 of John. For His sacrifice  was from before His body was nailed to the cross. It was in the moment in which He surrendered everything left and entrusted the Father all He had that was dear to Him, His disciples. When He got up from His knees He was already dead and it did not matter what man would do to Him, there was in Him only one will, one purpose; His Father’s.

In the gospel of Luke we read how much He care for them. In the midst of His agony , what  He does?

“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.

Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” (Luke 22:44-46)

What I see there is a Jesus that even in His last minutes was looking  out for those disciples. What He speaks I do not think is a reproach but counsel. He sees what is coming, they are in shock, like we say today:  “down”. I believe also, as Jesus stands  as The Way unto  all  who believe, that if we open our hearts to receive the love  the Fathers has for us. If we elect the best portion and sit at His presence and drink from His words the breath of life,  as we allow Him to assume His righteous place, the passionate Jesus, will kindle in our heart a holy passion that will drive us places we would not dreamed we could go. The passionate Jesus  will get us from our knees into the needs around us full of counsel and never ending patience to endure the weaknesses of the weak among us, and they would not be grievous unto us…

Believer, what is your purpose in this hour of death, hatred, blood, smoke and destruction. Where is your call? Are you  sleeping from sorrow, or are you seeking the feeble to strengthen him in the Lord? Are you down in despair and horrified by the events repeated in the news or  those that hang like a threat in all the things that may or may not come upon us at this hour? It is indeed a terrible hour. Have you found your purpose in Christ  unto which you were destined and called by the Father?

I see people going around like sheep without a shepherd. Looking for an answer or a refuge , I see the counterfeit being thrown at them at this hour. Jesus, Alah, Buda are all God. Are they? Maybe they are, but of different kind. There is only one who is True, Everlasting and Faithful. If He be lifted up at this hour He would again attract all men unto Himself. But who shall lift Him up?

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil , bring salvation to those lost,  healing to the sick and freedom to the captives. As a man, He came to glorify His Father by revealing Him in His life and becoming  our way. That is also our purpose unto which we were destined and called: to glorify the Father. Carry Him around in our lives revealing Him wherever we go without words of our own, but the word of fire of His Spirit in us, in the power  of our testimony of Who He is unto us. That is how He is lifted and if lifted again the power of the cross shall attract all men unto Him, because the cross is life and freedom.

For today the world is turning against the  Taliban for its fanatic views and if we should not speak truth, it will be late to do so. For the foundations to persecute those  who would not bow to the baals are being laid down as we speak when in the name of tolerance and political correctness everything and everyone becomes God .

We can go back to the book of judges in our timeline, where everyone does what it seems right in their own eyes (Judges 17:6) or we can go to the book of Esther in which two delivered by the hand of the Lord the whole nation.  And who were those two? Mordecai (a type of the Holy Spirit) and Esther (a type of the Church).

The fields are white and  that is why the destroyer wants to spoil them before they are gathered, but arise in the strength of you God, because He will fight for us. This is the hour to receive from His hands those He calls into His kingdom from under the power of Islam.  Is it not written:

“Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of the righteous be delivered?  But thus says the Lord:
Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.” Isaiah 49: 24-25

Fulfill your destiny for which you were born again  in the Spirit, because for a time like this  you were called into His kingdom that you may behold the King Of Glory. Lift up your heads , O eternal doors for the King Of Glory!

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourself money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Let your waist be girded and your lamps be burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.
Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching . Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. Luke 12: 32-37

Your servant in His love;

Let us be glad and rejoice,
and give honour to Him: for
the marriage of the Lamb is come
and His wife hath made herself ready
...Revelation 19:7.
